Yes, in most cases. We can key alike Whitco and Lockwood brand of locks, C5 key/5 pin tumbler. However, we cannot do Gainsborough and we are not licensed for restricted keying.
The locks used in security doors are complex mechanisms which require lubricating from time to time. Aerosol-based silicone sprays are ideal for use in the latch bolt cavities only. To ensure continued trouble-free operation we recommend lubricating your locks 2 to 4 times a year. Please note, dry graphite powder is the only suitable lubricant for keys and key slots of lock cylinders. Our hinged doors are fitted with pneumatic security door closers. These are sealed units and do not require lubricating.
To keep your door looking like new use a small amount of mild detergent applied with a soft sponge or a soft bristled brush, followed by a thorough rinsing with clean water. A quick wipe over with an absorbent cloth or chamois will prevent water marks from forming. Microfibre products (Enjo or similar) can make the job a little easier and faster. Frequency of cleaning is largely dependent on the location of the building. In most circumstances cleaning may be carried out every 3 to 4 months. Products installed close to more severe conditions such as marine or industrial environments should be cleaned every 2 to 4 weeks.
