In most instances pet doors can be retrofit in existing screen doors or ASI can install one in your brand new security door at the time of manufacture.
We often get asked to fit pet doors into new security doors for the sake of convenience. However it should be noted that once a pet door is installed into a security door, it will no longer meet Australian Security Standards and cannot be called a “Security Door”. The potential security threat in regards to dog doors (especially large dog doors) is the possibility of an agile intruder being able to crawl inside, or reach through the pet flap to gain entry to your home.
Petway® Pet Doors For Screen Doors
At ASI we use and recommend Petway® doggy doors. Made in Australia from UV stabilised plastic, Petway® pet doors are available in 3 sizes and 6 colour options.
ASI Security can fit these into plain mesh security doors and screens as well as diamond grille doors.
Small Pet Doors
Suitable for cats and small dogs such as Maltese, Shih-tzu. Flap size is 190mm wide x 240mm high
Medium Pet Doors
Suitable for small / medium dogs such as Beagle, Cocker Spaniels. Flap size is 225mm wide x 305mm high
Large Pet Doors
Suitable for medium / large dogs such as Labradors, Border Collies. Flap size is 260mm wide x 400mm high.
